Where to Read Telegram Channel Summaries: In Chats or the Essence Web Feed
Don't choose the "best" screen, choose your entry point into the flow: notifications for in-the-moment reactions, the web feed for dedicated viewing.
The difference between Telegram messages and the Essence web feed isn’t about the quality of the summary. In both cases, you receive the core essence of a new post from a connected source. The difference lies in who chooses the reading moment: the update comes to you, or you open the general feed yourself.
Delivery via Telegram works when you need to see a brief update close to the time of publication. Enable Essence notifications if you’re ready to interrupt your current work for a few seconds: read the summary and decide whether to open the original message. This mode is useful not because the bot determines the post’s importance—it doesn’t—but because you want to quickly filter new signals throughout the day.
If a notification becomes just another reason for distraction, turn it off. Short summaries of new messages will continue to be collected in the web dashboard in a single feed of connected Telegram sources. Then, reviewing updates becomes a separate action: open the feed when you have time for a first pass, rather than in a pause between tasks.
Choose the mode based on one criterion: can you, at the moment an update appears, make the decision to “read the original source or move on”? If you can, keep Telegram delivery. If you can’t, disable notifications and access Telegram summaries in the web dashboard during a dedicated window. This isn’t abandoning the flow; it’s abandoning random timing for reading it.
Don’t try to turn both modes into a full analysis of channels. Essence sends brief summaries to help you quickly grasp the essence of new messages and notice what requires attention. If a decision, figure, wording, or action depends on the post, open the original publication: the brief update helps you choose what to verify, but it does not replace the source material.
The result of the setup is simple: only the brief updates you’re ready to handle immediately remain in Telegram, while the web feed becomes the place for a calm first look at the entire connected flow.
